DALIAN LUSHUN
Lushunkou District is situated in the southern tip of Liaodong Peninsula, with the Huanghai Sea to its east, the Bohai Sea to its west and facing Shandong Peninsula across the ocean in the south, neighboring Dalian in the north. It is under jurisdiction of Dalian Municipality. Lushunkou District is honored as the National Scenic spot, National Natural Protection and National Forest Park. There is a world-famous natural non-frozen Lushun Harbor, which is the gateway to Beijing and Tianjin on the sea and the natural protective screen for Northeast of China. The newly-built Lushun New Port is the “Golden Waterway” linking Liaodong Peninsula to Shandong Peninsula.
旅顺口区概况
位置：旅顺口区位于辽东半岛最南端,属大连市辖区。东临黄海、西濒渤海，南与山东半岛隔海相望，北依大连，距大连市区45公里。旅顺口区是国家级风景名胜区、国家级自然保护区、国家级森林公园。境内有举世闻名的天然不冻旅顺港，为京津海上门户和东北的天然屏障。新开辟的旅顺新港是沟通辽东半岛和山东半岛的"黄金水道"。
面积：旅顺口区陆地南北纵距26.1公里，东西横距31.2公里，总面积506.8平方公里，海岸线长169.7公。2004年末耕地面积7.7万亩，同比增长3.9%。
地势：旅顺口区全境属长白山余脉构成的沿海丘陵地带，东高西低，平均海拔140米，地形构成为六丘半水三分半田。共有山丘292座，最高老铁山海拔465.6米，直临黄渤海分界线，被称为辽宁的"天涯海角"。境内河流多为间歇性小河。农田耕地多处在15度左右的缓坡上，少量在丘陵间盆地或沿海河谷地带。
气候：旅顺口区具有北温带季风气候特征。四季分明，冬夏长、春秋短，日光充足，雨量适中。
区划：旅顺口区现有13个街道，1个经济开发区，共71个村委员会和24个社区委员会，区政府设在水师营街道郭水西路1号。
人口：2005年，全区共有居民80277户，比上年增加811户，其中，城区36301户，增加219户。户籍人口207316人，减少159人，其中，男性102798人，女性104518人，人口性别比为98.35：100（女性人口为100）。全年出生人口1056人，出生率为5.08‰，人口自然增长率-2.11‰,同比下降0.44个千分点。计划生育率99.4%。
